Privacy Policy
Last updated June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Event Cam collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. We try to keep things simple: Event Cam exists to help you share event photos, not to collect data about you.
What We Collect
- Photos & captions you or your guests upload to an event gallery.
- Account info for hosts — name, email, and authentication details (via Google or email sign-in).
- Event details such as event name, date, and join code.
- Basic device info (browser type, approximate location from IP) used for things like showing the right install instructions.
How We Use It
Information is used to operate the Service: displaying galleries, letting hosts moderate content, sending account-related emails, and improving reliability. We don't sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
Guest Photos
Photos uploaded to an event are visible to the host and, depending on the host's settings, to other guests. Hosts can download, flag, or delete photos from their event gallery at any time.
Data Retention
Event galleries are retained according to the plan selected by the host. After an event's retention period ends, photos and event data may be permanently deleted from our systems.
Third-Party Services
We use trusted infrastructure providers (such as Firebase for authentication and storage) to operate Event Cam. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
Your Choices
Hosts can request deletion of their account and associated event data at any time. Guests can ask the event host to remove a photo they uploaded. For any privacy request, contact us via the Contact page.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
